I apologize for the extremely "heavy" and "frightening" breathing (as pointed out to me by my precious husband) that was in the video clip on my last post.

It's FINISHED!!

Besides the rocker and ottoman that will be arriving in about 4 weeks, the nursery is finished! We hung the last two pictures tonight. I have spent several hours adding, moving, taking away, and then adding again different items. I am SO happy with the finished product and will be even happier when we have our little bambino in there as well! I took a video clip so that you can see all the angles - the color is still bad, which annoys me but I don't know what else to do. Just picture everything "brighter".

The tan frame that is hanging low on the wall was from Heidi and Lauren back in November of last year. They gave it to Ted and I after we had our miscarriage. It says....

"If I never met you, I wouldn't like you. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't love you.
If I didn't love you, I wouldn't miss you. But I did, I do, and I will. ~Unknown"

Lauren and Heidi had taken our ultrasound picture of Peyton and put it in that frame. I knew when they gave it to me that someday we would have a beautiful nursery and that that precious frame would have a special place in that room. It is so amazing to think back on that time almost 11 months ago. I remember feeling so many different emotions - sadness, anger, confusion, guilt, hopelessness. I thought I would never get through it. I can even remember being angry after we found out we were expecting the 2nd time. I felt guilty for being excited about the new pregnancy because I felt like I was forgetting about Peyton. And I was so terrified it would happen again. Since then, I have come to grips that God knew all along what was going to happen and why. I was able to find peace in the fact that there was something wrong with that little baby and that she simply needed to be with Jesus. I was also able to let go of the feelings that it happened because of something that I did wrong.

It was so amazing to see the different lessons God taught Ted and I during that time. Going through an experience like that made us fall even more in love with each other...Never thought that would be possible! I am so thankful that God blessed me with him. I cannot imagine having to go through a hardship if I didn't have his love, comfort, and support.

So here we go... potentially our last weekend together "just the two" of us. I am so excited, yet nervous at the same time. How do you really prepare to welcome a little life into the world!? As miserable as I am, I thank God EVERY day for the blessing he is giving us. I will cherish these next few days with Ted and I will cherish the final few days of kicks, tumbles and twists that our little gymnast so frequently practices. Our lives are about to change forever and we couldn't be more excited!!!
We are ready to meet our little boy... or girl. :)

Holiday Weekend by the Pool....

We spent all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday out by the pool relaxing and soaking up the sun! It was so beautiful out! Here are some random shots from the weekend.

The sister-in-laws. Well 3 official... one potential.

Trying to tan the belly...
Lining up for the cannon-ball competition.

My adorable hubby testing the flash on my camera... lol

The sunset was SO beautiful. It was so much fun to just sit out on the patio and watch the sun set. One of the last weekends we will spend out there without a baby!

Preparing for baby Lawver!

I have been busy prepping for this baby! After my showers I had so much fun putting things away. After I washed it all of course. :) I am almost done with the nursery - I just need to hang some pictures, get our rocker (who knows when that will happen) and get a little table. It has been so fun watching it all come together.

The closet

Abundance of towels and bibs

Adorable Vera Bradley diaper bag from Ted's brother Thomas and his girlfriend Amanda.

Bedding looks SO cute in the nursery. This picture doesn't do it justice.

We came home from dinner the other night and this pack and play was on our porch with no note! We finially figured out that it was from Ted's eye dr's wife! How nice! This matches our stroller and carseat. (The bottom is getting steamed...dont worry)

The start of our book and toy collection!

Our bassinet! ALSO on the "needs steamed" list. It glides from L-R, vibrates and has like 16 songs. Love the colors of it.

Our "Take Home Outfit" options for boy & girl! I fell in love with these and had to buy them. Which ever one we dont end up needing, we will take back. I have them hanging so that Mom will know where they are and will be able to wash the "needed" one and bring it to the hospital for me. :)

Ok... Here are the LAST 2 pictures. The much requested belly pictures.
Now, I know I was excited for a long time that I havn't had stretch marks, but I have come to grips with the fact that they were just in areas I could not see.

However, all who read this blog will be able to see them clearly. :)

You can kind of tell on the L side of this picture - my right side - that the butt is sticking out a little bit. Butt pushing is a daily activity for us. :)

Our Shedders

No matter how often we get our dogs groomed they continue to shed and shed. So we found out about this fabulous dog brush that takes out their under coat. Didn't think it would really work- but we gave it a try anyways. Here is what we accumulated after about 5 minutes!

The top picture is the finished pile - we could have continues brushing, but I was ready to die from a heat stroke. The bottom picture is all the hair we couldn't pick up off the rug. No worries - My DYSON got it all! :)

Nursery Furniture

Our furniture for our nursery was delivered this past week. It is so exciting to see it coming together. Out of all the baby decisions we have had to make so far, this one was Ted's. I was wandering through the store trying for the life of me to make a decision - ted walked up and said, "I picked it out". So we went with it! Now that it is in the room with the decor and curtains, I couldn't be happier. My mother in law is throwing my a huge baby shower on Sunday with about 60+ people. It will be so much fun to put away all that we get and start to "feel" ready for this baby!
