To tide you over...

Teagan is getting SO big and such a personality. It's keeping me so busy and I have been forgetting to take pictures of all the fun moments we have been having! Here is a video clip so you can hear her nice set of lungs. This is what she sounds like from morning til night. Until someone other than Ted or I enter the room... then it is all downhill. :)

Pictures of our home renovations will be posted as soon as we actually finish the renovation lol. Ted ankle injury has caused a setback...

In My Arms.

I don't think I could have ever been prepared for the emotions that come along with being a mom. It is amazing how it literally changes your day to day life 100%... nothing is about you anymore, because EVERYTHING revolves around a little munchkin who weighs meier 14lb. (Some of you are probably thinking "14 POUNDS!?" Hey, I was expecting this baby to come out that size, so I'd say we are doing pretty good.)

The hardest thing that I have had to deal with is just an underlying fear that something is going to happen to her. In everything that I do, I observe my surroundings before hand, thinking through any possible ramifications that might occur. (Even more so since the night when I was getting her in her pj's after a bath and grabbed the lotion bottle with a wet hand.... it slipped and clocked her sweet little cheek. She sobbed, I SOBBED, Ted came running cause he thought I had dropped her... ok you get the point.) What I am getting at is so amazing the innocence a child has. And it breaks my heart to know that I cannot physically guard her from hurt and pain forever. There is an amazing song from a group by the name of plumb called "In my arms" (it is in my playlist so you can listen to it if you want). I heard this song when I was pregnant with her and I thought it was beautiful, but the first time I listened to it after she was born I just sobbed! It totally descirbes how I feel. I am sure all you other mothers would agree.

I still cant grasp the fact sometimes that the Lord chose Ted and I to care for this little peanut. Such a HUGE responsibility, but the greatest privileged of my life thus far.

"In My Arms" - Plumb

Your baby blues
So full of wonder
Your curly cues
Your contageous smile
And as I watch
You start to grow up
All I can do is hold you tight

Knowing clouds will rage
And storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Story books full of fairy tales
Of kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
You'll someday see the truth from lies

Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
But you are never all alone
Because I will always
Always love you

a new toy....and new teeth

Teagan has been getting so frustrated every time I try and put her on her belly. I have been trying all sorts of things in attempt to make "tummy time" more enjoyable. I got an email the other day from Babys-R-Us featuring this new toy and decided to give it a try. It cracked me up to see how excited she got when she was on it and she was actually able to spin herself some from all the kicking she was doing.

I tried taking pictures of her teeth and it was very unsuccessful, but we did manage to get a couple cute ones that I thought were worth putting up here! The last week and a half Teagan has been SO fussy... esp in the evenings. And she has seemed to become more and more attached to me. There was one day this past week where NO ONE could take her from me without a screaming fit. But it was so hard on Ted and I because her cry was so different than what it normally is. I made an appointment with her doctor and right when we were on our way over there I noticed that there were 2 teeth pushing through! How could I possibly miss that you ask? Well, they are not the teeth that normally come in first - they are the upper L back ones! Poor girl has been working these hard ones out first! She seems to be doing much better today. I got some infant orajel today and was nervous to give it to her, so I tried it on my gums first. That stuff sure works! When I get two sets of hands I will try and finagle a photo to put on here.

A day in the life of Miss Teagan...

After were fed and dressed... time on the play mat.
Once she becomes bored with the mat we eat, poop, and move to the bumpo - She observes my every move. And drools. Very hard work.

After the bumpo, I annoy her with all types of kisses.... and she drools some more.

Then, after several more hours of eating/sleeping/pooping/lunch with friends and a bath with daddy... Its hang out naked/in my onsie floor time.....

This kid LOVES watching TV! Seriously, when she is having a moment of rage, for no apparent reason, the TV always fixes it.

Oh how exhausting being an infant is...
