TURK...

Have you ever seen the new Tarzan with the little gorilla names Turk? That is who she reminds me of... and I find myself calling her Turk more often than Teagan. Here was a little photo shoot that showed her looking and acting the part. She is getting such a personality the last few days! I LOVE it. The quality isnt very good... I just thought they were funny.

One Month...

My precious little baby is already a month old!
I am
absolutely 100% in LOVE with being a mom!

Today was my post-op check up... Being back in the office actually made me want to be pregnant again. My dr took that opportunity to quickly reminded me of how miserable I was. So I'll be having an IUD put back in next week. lol.

Tomorrow is Teagan's one month check up... she is still looking a little jaundiced but I am sure it will get better and better as the days go by. I am anxious to see how much she has gained.

On
Friday, we drove to the airport to pick up my sister Lauren - who I thought was coming for a visit. When we got to the airport it ended up being my best friend Alli here for a surprise visit! I was SHOCKED. We have not seen each other in almost a year. We have had so much fun catching up and just lounging around the house. Lauren is actually coming this Thursday instead. I have been so blessed with family and friends being willing to give up their time and come out for visits. Here are a few random pictures from the past few days...

Alli came to visit! What a great surprise.

So I decided that I wanted corn husks for my front porch. We drove around looking for some to purchase, and then it dawned on me.... There are corn fields all around us! So Alli and Ted waited for dark and then ventured out into the corn to round up some stalks!

Ted was so excited he finally got to use his hunting knife... haha!

Don't you love the corn stalks next to the cot?? :)
SNEAK PEAK... we picked out our lil' monkey's Halloween costume. :)

Ultrasound vs. Real Life

I was looking back at Teagan's 20wk ultrasound pictures and I couldn't help but laugh when I saw this comparison. When I first saw this US picture I was telling everyone that she had killer duck lips - I took the "now" picture of her yesterday, I was dying! Enjoy!

Photo Update

First experience with our baby Einstein play mat.

She loved looking at the bright colors... at least I think she did.
Can she see colors yet?! :)

So sleepy after our trip to Target with Aunt Heidi.

LOOK AT THOSE LIPS! All her dad...

Sleeping in her swing.

Fluffy hair after a bath

SO SAD.... grandma is leaving me.

Still pouting :(

The dogs HAVE to be right where she is.

Two weeks already!

I cannot believe how fast these 2 weeks have flown by! My mom just left today (sniff...sniff) - hard to believe she was here for TWENTY days. I feel like she just got here yesterday. Thank God Heidi came in yesterday, so the good-bye went a little better than planned. I never realized how hard it would be to be so far away from my family! I am thankful for the time that she had with this precious little girl while she was here.
Here are some of the photos from mom's camera...

look at those eyes!

they both snore :)

Teagan Janae

It's a Girl!
Huge shock to me, as I was CONVINCED it was a boy, but we could NOT be happier with our little baby! Teagan came into the world Thursday, September 18th at 9:44am. She weighed 7lb 7oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. The c-section was such a surreal experience. Ted was lucky enough to be able to stand and observe the whole surgery (we have an awesome dr!). He took tons of amazing pictures and never let go of my hand. We were in the hospital for 5 days and are so glad to now be home and getting into a routine. I have been so lucky to have my mom and Kori here with me for this first week after the surgery. Kori leaves tomorrow (SAD!) and my mom will stay through until Friday when Heidi flies in. Now that we are getting into the swing of things, I will try and be more diligent in posting pictures. Thank you all for your prayers, card, visits, & gifts. Ted and I are SO blessed and are more in love than we ever though possible with this sweet little girl...

Ted trying to fit into scrubs! They had to try a few different options
and then they finally just pieced an outfit together.

Minutes after the birth of Teagan!

Under the bili lights for her jaundice.
