Easter

On Saturday night Ted and Roger had a sudden urge to bake. So here we are at TWO a.m. putting the finishing touches on a Easter Bunny cake - MADE FROM SCRATCH. The boys baked about 8 different sized cakes to get the perfect proportions that they needed. Its hard to tell by the photo, but the "body" of the rabbit is supposed to be in the shape of an egg. :) Sarah and I sat in the living room almost the whole time. And for the record - It was delicious! It was a recipe that Roger got from a lady at work (we dont know the name) and it was a cream cheese frosting! Very impressive. Doesn't this smile kill you?!

The following 3 pictures are Brooklyn and Teagan's easter "baskets" from Teds mom. I almost dies when I saw this. She has so much fun spoiling these girls.

Hope you had a blessed day with Family and Friends!

painting.

We are FINALLY done with the painting CHORE. I tried telling Ted to just hire someone to do it because of the high ceilings, but he insisted on doing it himself (which is a quality that I love about him) - after it was finished he said "I am DONE painting in this house. I have NO clue why I chose to do this room on my own. Anything else will be hired out". We still need to figure out what we are doing on top of the cupboards - but people have been bugging me for photos.

It looks darker on the far L side because of the flash - the color is most accurate on the R side.

I had to throw this in there.... this was my bday present from Ted's parents.
A NEW KITCHEN AID MIXER!!!

me & my best friend

We are SO blessed to have the Scott, Val & Ainsley close by us. For those of you who don't know, Val and I are both from IL. She has always been a huge part of my family's life! We went to the same church, my brother in law set her up on a blind date with her husband, my niece was the flower girl in her wedding, she did a bible study with me all through high school... the list could go on. They live in Columbus which is about 2 hours from our home. Val and I both wanted to be mom's SO badly adn now was have beautiful little girls. Ainsley and Teagan are only 2 weeks apart. Everytime I spend time with Val, I feel like I just took a quick trip home! We have so much fun talking throughout the week and going through this "new parenting" phase together. You can tell by the pictures that these little gals are going to be great friends.

Ted almost killed me when these showed up in our mailbox...
but I just couldn't resist!! Love having a girl :)

play date.

Yesterday Teagan and I met up with a couple of my girlfriends and their babies. We had a great time together and it was so much fun watching the kids interact. Unfortunately, we forgot to get our cameras out before baby Sophie left. But we were able to capture some cute moments with Josh (8mo) and Teagan. So fun to know that they will be growing up together!
